Do I need CAD experience?
No. AI Reverse Engineering turns phone photos, an STL scan or a STEP file of a part into a parametric model. You review the features, set one real measurement, and it handles the geometry.
Which plan reads STL and STEP files?
The $49.99 plan. Starter ($24.99) works from phone photos. On the $49.99 plan an STL scan or a STEP file uses 5 generations, because the part is rebuilt feature by feature and checked against your file; a photo part uses 1.
What happens to my design files?
Your designs are your intellectual property. We use them only to provide the service and fulfil your orders, and we never sell them. The privacy policy lists the providers that process them for us.
Can you make bigger parts, or more of them?
Yes. The Production package covers one small plastic part and 20 units. Vacuum casting in BlacksmithAI's silicone moulds makes 500 to 2,000 parts per run, typically in 2 to 3 weeks from design approval, in PP-like, ABS-like, rubber-like or clear materials, up to about 50 cm. Runs are quoted per project: contact us with your part and volume.
