1. Information We Collect
We collect account information (name, email, company), the photos, STL and STEP files and descriptions you submit, the CAD models you generate, production order specifications, usage data and platform interactions, and payment and billing information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide CAD generation and manufacturing services, process production orders and coordinate fulfillment, communicate service updates and support, improve platform accuracy and performance, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Design Data
Your CAD models and part specifications are treated as confidential intellectual property. We use design data solely to provide the service and fulfill your orders and, only with your explicit consent, to improve system performance. We do not sell design data to third parties.
4. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Account data is held by our database provider, which encrypts it at rest. Uploaded files and generated models are stored on servers we operate, where access is restricted to authorized personnel.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform and with manufacturing partners to fulfill production orders, always as part of the service relationship. These include AI model providers, reached through OpenRouter, which process the photos, files and descriptions you submit so that we can generate your results; our database and sign-in provider (Supabase); and our email provider (Resend).
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data and design history, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your account and associated data, and export your design files. To exercise these rights, contact build@blacksmithai.org.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and design data for as long as your account is active. Production order records are retained for the period required by applicable commercial law. You may request deletion of design data at any time.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect.
